2nd Jharkhand Chess Academy One Day Rapid Chess Championship 2026 Successfully Concluded
Jharkhand Chess Academy successfully organized the 2nd JCA One Day Rapid Chess Championship 2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation from more than 40 talented chess players across different age groups. The one-day rapid event created an energetic competitive atmosphere and highlighted the growing chess culture in Jharkhand.
The championship was graced by Grandmaster Pravin Mahadeo Thipsay (Arjuna Awardee) as the Guest of Honour, whose presence added great prestige and inspiration to the event. The tournament was also honored by the presence of the Mother-in-law of the Honβble Chief Minister, who encouraged young players and appreciated the academyβs contribution towards chess development at the grassroots level.
The tournament was officially officiated by SNA Arun Kumar, ensuring smooth conduct of the event while maintaining professional standards, fair play, and strict adherence to chess regulations.
FM Abhishek Das, Mentor of Jharkhand Chess Academy, warmly welcomed GM Pravin Thipsay and expressed that it was a great honor for the academy to host such a legendary chess personality. He highlighted that students and parents got a rare and valuable opportunity to interact directly with GM Thipsay, gaining insights, motivation, and inspiration from his journey and experience.
The tournament was conducted in a disciplined and professional manner. Players competed across multiple categories including Beginners, Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, and Under-15. Winners were felicitated with trophies, medals, medals, and certificates during the prize distribution ceremony.
